Golf Box

This is another “basket” I made for my kids school carnival, you can read about the first Here.

The theme was golf, and so I thought this cute box could end up on someones desk as an organizer….I personally don’t golf, but I think it turned out cute.

I found a piece of wood and cut it down to make a box, just like this chalk box I made.  Only this one is much bigger and I nailed it along with the glue.

I loved the color of this wood, even after sanding it looked pretty.

Once built it was ready for some handles.

I put on screen door pulls just like the ones on my chippy decor box.  I used the packaging with the end folded around the bottom of the box to measure where I wanted my handles on each side.  Then I just poked a pin mark into the wood where the holes in the handle were.  That way I knew exactly where to drill my holes for the screws.

I made a fun golf themed image and…

Transfered it on.  (tutorial here)

And there you have it!  Super easy!

I love the subtle image, it looks worn and classic.

We found out that my son’s friend won this gift box, with all the prizes that were donated!  I hope he finds it useful!
